FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If you don't find the answer you're looking for here, feel free to call or email us anytime...
and we'll be happy to answer your questions.

How Much Are Your Custom Tracks, And What Do I Get?
Answer:  We charge $100 for full instrumentation tracks.  For that price, you get the 2 track mix of the track on CD...  the
multitrack Protools Sessions are available at an additional price of $25 per song, useful for recording with or mixing later.
Other terms apply as well.  Please see the custom tracks page for more info.

If I have a track done, do I have to pay a lease fee to use it for recording?
Answer:  You own it.  It's Yours.  Once you've paid for the initial production and purchase of the track, you are free to
use it any way you like...  however, LEGALITIES and ROYALTIES for the song(s) (if you didn't write it/them) are Your
Responsibility.  We cannot be held liable for your negligence to pay your royalties.  We only retain "Creative Rights" to
the tracks we create, which means we reserve the right to use it as well, for business purposes, and we do
ask that you give us credit for doing the track, CD covers, etc.

How Fast Is Your Turnaround (How Long Will It Take To Get My Tracks)?
Answer:  Generally speaking, my turnaround time is within a few weeks... but can be quicker or slower... depending on
my schedule at the time.  In some cases, I will agree to do a rush order, of up to 10 tracks, within a 3 day turnaround time
or less.  The price on rush order tracks are $250 each, regardless of the quantity, and they are subject to my availability.
***I do NOT guarantee Turnaround Time...  I am NOT a track factory... I'm a track ARTIST...  Art can take a little time to
perfect.  My work will be well worth the wait, if there is any.***

Can I Be There When You Do My Tracks?
Answer:  If you like, absolutely!  In fact, we encourage it.

How Many Instruments Come On My Tracks?
Answer:  Full instrumentation means just that...  as many as it takes to get the job done, from the list of those that I play.
The number of instruments I use is at my discretion, based on my ability to hear each song's individual needs, as well as
specific requests from you, the client.  You can request certain instruments, however... and I will add them.  Instruments
included in the price are:  PIANO/KEYBOARDS, BASS GUITAR, DRUMS, ELECTRIC AND ACOUSTIC GUITARS, STEEL
GUITAR, DOBRO, HARMONICA AND FULL ORCHESTRATION.  In addition to these, I also have access to other
musicians, that play instruments such as fiddle, mandolin, banjo, saxaphone, flute...  the list goes on and on.  Bottom line,
the tracks come standard with everything needed for most songs, but I can get other instruments upon request, for an
additional fee.

What do you mean by "Full Orchestration"?
Answer:  Ahh...  Orchestration...  Probably what we are known for the most.  By this, I don't just mean that I lay some
strings, or as some competitors of mine do, the "orchestra sound" on my keyboard, I literally plan out an orchestral
score, instrument by instrument...  with REAL SAMPLED instruments such as, violins, violas, cellos, basses, brass,
saxaphones, flutes, oboe, vibraphone...  an orchestra...  and play them one by one, creating that "real orchestra" feel,
usually only found by other top name producers, such as Milton Smith, Larry Goss and Steve Mauldin (all VERY
respected orchestration composers).  Our orchestration is top of the line, and has been compared, and even preferred
by our clients ABOVE that of the previously mentioned producers.  As much as I respect those individuals, I certainly
think that's saying something!  We use the best keyboard orchestra sounds available...  Miroslav Philharmonic...
It's the BEST!

What equipment do you run in your studio?
Answer:  We're a Professional Protools Facility...  Here's the short list...  MAC BOOK PRO COMPUTER SYSTEM, PRO
TOOLS 9, CELEMONY MELODYNE, KONTAKT KOMPLETE 7, DIGI 002 INTERFACE, MARSHAL AND AKG MICS,
FOCUSRIGHT PREAMPS, VI VIRTUAL PIANOS (including 3 of the BEST sampled grand pianos available...  a Yamaha
C7 - Baldwin Dark - and Steinway 9 footer), AND ALL THE INSTRUMENTS AND PROCESSORS THAT MAKE IT ALL
WORK!

Are your instruments "Real Instruments" or that nasty "Computer Sounding Stuff"?
Answer:  No "Fake Stuff" Here!  This is all real stuff... that I play instrument by instrument, creating a WARM Nashville
Sounding Track, only found when you do it that way!  My piano, drums and orchestra are currently synth instruments, but
they are literally the BEST in the business... and they are all real instruments too, known as samples.  In other words, the
drums are REAL DRUMS, that are played one by one in a studio, and recorded into a hard drive... then created into a
midi map, for playing with drum triggers.  They're even separated within the multitracks, into 10 individual tracks, for
mixing later.  The piano is the same way... played note by note, into a sampler, stereo, with the best mics on the market...
Again, orchestration, the same way... all real players, all real instruments...  and thanks to God, in addition to modern
technology, I'm able to reproduce it all, as one musician.  All the other instruments are fully real, including the guitars,
steel guitar and dobro, harmonica and bass.

As a performer, I understand the need for Real Sounding Tracks, and that's exactly what you'll get here!

Are you the only musician, or do you use a live band?
Answer:  Just Me, most of the time!  Although again, I do have other instrumentalists available, at an additional fee.

When I have a track made, am I allowed to re-sell it on my table as a soundtrack?
Answer:  Yes, absolutely!  This is one of the largest areas we differ, from our competition.

Do you offer background vocals, or the ability to record my/our own vocals with you?
Answer:  Yes.  Background vocals are priced at the additional rate of $150 per song - and are subject to my approval in
advance.

Do you read music, or play by ear?
Answer:  I play by ear... God Given Talent, and long developed skill.  I've been playing and singing for over 25 years, and
producing music professionally for more than 15 years.  I thank God for my gifts, and direct all the praise to Him alone.
In Him I Live, and Have MY BEING!  I use the Nashville Number System, when charting songs for tracking.

Are my original songs safe with you, and your company?
Answer:  Yes...  No worries.  We safeguard your songs like they are our own... unless you ask us to make them available
to other clients of ours.  Being a songwriter myself, I understand the value of keeping songs protected.  We do
recommend that you copyright and publish your songs...  we have options for helping you with that as well!  Call for more
details on that.

How do I start the process?
Answer:  Either call or email to schedule an in person session, to complete your tracks... or you can visit our custom
tracks page, where you can submit your order online.  More information about that is located there.

***I DO NOT Issue Refunds under ANY Circumstances...  I do however work very hard to ensure that you are
happy with the tracks or recording project you receive from me.***
